1/5/2024 0 Comments Dead cells giant too hard![]() When parrying large crowds as well, I find that timing the first parry, then mashing the parry button afterwards does tend to work out.Īnyways, I agree that the difficulty in this game is pretty high. 4BC also has a lot of teleporting enemies IIRC, so you can get the agro on one enemies and lure them out. Generally with large enough crowds, that’s when it’s best to utilize skills like grenades or turrets to attack them from far away. Other than that, you mentioned that crowds of enemies are quite difficult to parry. Of course high damage or long range helps with this, but finding ways to attack the enemy from behind or stun them in some form also tends to be a big help. Rather, I try to kill most enemies in a way that prevents them from even attacking me. I do have a good amount of practice with shields but for me, even though I have a shield most of the time, I still don’t parry very many enemies. Yeah, that's clickbait, but not entirely. Or maybe it's just promenade+ramparts.Īlso yeah, I know 4 BC isn't the hardest difficulty and that assist mode exists, but it's not how the game was intended to be played, so I don't feel like turning it on for now. ![]() Idk, maybe I just got worse somehow, since I don't remember 3 BC being that hard, and from what I know damage values don't change. And in dark souls you rarely have to parry more than 1 enemy, and when you do, you become invulnerable during riposte and enemies can't occupy the same coordinates. At least in HK you can heal from enemies and don't loose half your health vs 1-2 attacks from a fast mob (slasher/cannibal/rampager). ![]() Thing is, I know that it's not, and there are people who enjoy it, but I just have no idea how to improve. But whenever I pick up a shield in a biome, which doesn't happen often, I just die or burn through all my flasks in the first/second level trying to parry everything.Īs someone who did 99% of super-hard content in hollow knight without giving up, this is starting to feel almost unfair. My biggest problem is parrying and biomes, especially the moonflower quest ones, because bosses, at least in the training arena, seem pretty doable, and I even did most of them parry-only. Honestly at this point idk what I'm doing wrong, cause the game up untill this point was pretty fun and doable, and I even got flawless on most of the bosses, excluding Giant, tick(mostly because I stopped going there at 4 BC) and HotK.ītw the "I'm scared and invulnerable" build in the picture worked fine, but then I switched to valmont's whip, and died to the giant because I barely practiced him before. ![]() Honestly it's more of a discussion/help post, cause I've been playing the game for 130 hours, about 40 of which were dedicated to dozens of runs trying to do the moonflower quest on 4BC and only getting to the giant twice during that time. ![]()
